Why use a condom?
The condom is the only contraception that protects against the risk of STIs/STIs during sexual intercourse, and is therefore a true sexual health product. The condom is intended for everyone, regardless of age, frequency of intimate relations or whether your relations are vaginal, oral or anal.
Protecting yourself during an intimate encounter is essential
Sex is cool... but STIs and STDs, much less so. Sexually transmitted infections and diseases are transmitted by unprotected contact from mucous membrane to mucous membrane, and via a transmission vector liquid (blood, seminal liquid, sperm, cyprine...) As soon as there is a contact between your genitals and the anus, vulva, penis or mouth of your partner, there is a risk. And yes, with fellatio or cunnilingus for example, you can catch an STI! The only way to protect yourself effectively is to use a condom and/or a dental dam (the latter in the case of oro-genital contact only). There are two types of condoms: external condoms that are slipped onto the penis (the best known), and internal condoms, which are inserted into the vagina, and where a ring protects the vulva. There are also dental dams, which are very thin latex squares that are placed on the vulva before cunnilingus (or the anus before annulingus). It allows to feel sensations without taking any risk! Because nobody is safe! Protecting yourself doesn't take anything away from the pleasure, especially if you choose healthy and natural latex condoms, like My Lubie condoms available in 2 sizes with a transparent composition. It is important to protect yourself to avoid them, but after a screening, if the results confirm an infection: no shame to have. When you have the flu, you go to the doctor! An STI is the same thing. If you are infected and you know it, you can also talk about it to your partner, to avoid new contaminations.
How to put on a condom?
Put on a condom, You have to learn how to do it! So here are some tips on how to put a condom on correctly:
Use a condom that comes out of its box, not from the bottom of a pocket or bag alone (and you don't know how long it's been there); whose foil (packaging) is intact
To open it, do not tear the wrapping with your teeth or scissors, cut it delicately with your fingers.
Place the condom still rolled up on an erect sex, gently unroll it to the base of the penis.
At the same time, pinch the end of the condom
Before starting, add lubricant on the penis and the condom, and on the entrance of the vagina, to avoid the risks of cracking the condom or tearing the latex. It is also, as we said, much more comfortable to enjoy the moment!
How to be sure that it is well put?
he condom does not slip and stays in place on the erect penis.
It is unrolled until the base of the penis in a uniform way (there is no fold, nor rolling up)
The tank of the top does not contain air when you press on it.
Which lubricant is compatible with which condom?
The first thing to remember is that if you are using latex or polyisoprene condoms, you can use water-based or silicone-based lubricant, but oil-based ones should be avoided. We recommend the lubricant water-based My Lubie, compatible with condoms and sex toys.
